The NoVA Eagles entered Round 4 with a win against their local rivals, the DC Slayers. Round 4 would see a rematch between the Eagles and the Philadelphia Fight, who battled each other just two weeks earlier.
The Fight wasted no time in scoring points. They were able to score 4 unanswered tries early in the first 20 minutes. However, the Eagles were able to capitalize on mistakes made by the Fight to complete an 80 meter drive down the pitch ending in a try score by Centre, Justin Hackett. Before the half, the Fight were able to successfully complete several sets leading to a pair of tries, making the score 6-36 at halftime.
The Eagles came out at the half strong and were able to capitalize early off of a knock-on by the Fight. After driving down the field almost 90 meters, Hackett was able to score his second try for the day out wide to the left of the Fight's defense. Both defenses put up strong fronts, until the Eagle's Fullback Ryan Burroughs made an 80 meter line break bringing the score to 18-36. Although Burroughs was able to score another try late in the match, the Fight emerged victorious with a final score of 24-54.
